ἀπὸ φωνῆς ἱππέωως καὶ ἐντεταμένου τόξου ἀνεχώρησεν πᾶσα χάρα· εἰσέδυσαν εἰς τὰ σπήλαια, καὶ εἰς τὰ ἄλση ἐκρύβησαν, καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς πέτρας ἀνέβησαν· πᾶσα πόλις ἐνκατελείφθη, οὐ κατῴκει ἐν αὐταῖς ἄνθρωπος.
Every city flees at the sound of the horseman and archer. They enter the thickets and climb among the rocks. Every city is abandoned; no inhabitant is left.
