And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass (note: Heb. every passing of the rod founded), which the Lord shall lay upon him (note: Heb. cause to rest upon him), it shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it (note: Or, against them).
And with every stroke of the rod of punishment (note: Some Hebrew manuscripts, Syriac; MT the rod of foundation; DSS the rod of His foundation) that the LORD brings down on them, the tambourines and lyres will sound as He battles with weapons brandished.
