Therefore Jacob’s guilt will be atoned for, and the full fruit of the removal of his sin will be this (note: LXX Therefore the guilt of Jacob will be taken away, and this is his blessing when I take away his sin; cited in Romans 11:27): When he makes all the altar stones like crushed bits of chalk, no Asherah poles or incense altars will remain standing.
לָכֵ֗ן בְּזֹאת֙ יְכֻפַּ֣ר עֲוֺֽן־ יַעֲקֹ֔ב וְזֶ֕ה כָּל־ פְּרִ֖י הָסִ֣ר חַטָּאת֑וֹ בְּשׂוּמ֣וֹ׀ כָּל־ אַבְנֵ֣י מִזְבֵּ֗חַ כְּאַבְנֵי־ גִר֙ מְנֻפָּצ֔וֹת לֹֽא־ יָקֻ֥מוּ אֲשֵׁרִ֖ים וְחַמָּנִֽים׃
