2:1

Le nombre des enfants d'Israël sera comme le sable de la mer, qui ne se mesure, ni ne se compte ; et au lieu où on leur disait : " Vous n'êtes pas mon peuple, " on leur dira : " Fils du Dieu vivant !

“Say of your brothers, ‘,’ and of your sisters, ‘.’

2:2

Et les enfants de Juda et les enfants d'Israël se réuniront, ils se donneront un même chef et monteront hors du pays, car grande sera la journée de Jezrahel.

Rebuke your mother, rebuke her, for she is not My wife, and I am not her husband. Let her remove the adultery from her face and the unfaithfulness from between her breasts.

2:3

Dites à vos frères : " Ammi ! " et à vos sœurs : " Ruchama ! "

Otherwise, I will strip her naked and expose her like the day of her birth. I will make her like a desert and turn her into a parched land, and I will let her die of thirst.

2:4

Plaidez contre votre mère, plaidez ! car elle n'est plus ma femme, et moi je ne suis plus son mari. Qu'elle éloigne de sa face ses prostitutions, et ses adultères du milieu de ses seins,

I will have no compassion on her children, because they are the children of adultery.

2:5

de peur que je ne la déshabille à nu, et que je ne la mette telle qu'au jour de sa naissance, que je ne la rende pareille au désert, faisant d'elle une terre desséchée, et que je ne la fasse mourir de soif.

For their mother has played the harlot and has conceived them in disgrace. For she thought, ‘I will go after my lovers, who give me bread and water, wool and linen, oil and drink.’

2:6

Je n'aurai pas compassion de ses enfants, car ce sont des enfants de prostitution.

Therefore, behold, I will hedge up her with thorns; I will enclose her with a wall, so she cannot find her way.

2:7

Car leur mère s'est prostituée, celle qui les a conçus a fait des choses honteuses ; elle a dit : " J'irai après mes amants, qui me donnent mon pain et mon eau, ma laine et mon lin, mon huile et ma boisson. "

She will pursue her lovers but not catch them; she will seek them but not find them. Then she will say, ‘I will return to my first husband, for then I was better off than now.’

2:8

C'est pourquoi voici que je vais fermer ton chemin avec des ronces ; j'élèverai un mur, et elle ne trouvera plus ses sentiers.

For she does not acknowledge that it was I who gave her grain, new wine, and oil, who lavished on her silver and gold—which they crafted for Baal.

2:9

Elle poursuivra ses amants et ne les atteindra pas ; elle les cherchera et ne les trouvera pas. Puis elle dira : " J'irai et je retournerai vers mon premier mari, car j'étais plus heureuse alors que maintenant. "

Therefore I will take back My grain in its time and My new wine in its season; I will take away My wool and linen, which were given to cover her nakedness.

2:10

Elle n'a pas reconnu que c'est moi qui lui ai donné le froment, le vin nouveau et l'huile, qui lui ai multiplié l'argent et l'or, qu'ils ont employés pour Baal.

And then I will expose her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and no one will deliver her out of My hands.

2:11

C'est pourquoi je reprendrai mon froment en son temps, et mon vin nouveau dans sa saison, et je retirerai ma laine et mon lin, qui servent à couvrir sa nudité.

I will put an end to all her exultation: her feasts, New Moons, and Sabbaths—all her appointed feasts.

2:12

Et maintenant je découvrirai sa honte, aux yeux de ses amants, et personne ne la dégagera de ma main.

I will destroy her vines and fig trees, which she thinks are the wages paid by her lovers. So I will make them into a thicket, and the beasts of the field will devour them.

2:13

Je ferai cesser toutes ses réjouissances, ses fêtes, ses nouvelles lunes, ses sabbats, et toutes ses solennités.

I will punish her for the days of the Baals when she burned incense to them, when she adorned herself with rings and jewelry, and went after her lovers. But Me she forgot,” declares the LORD.

2:14

Je dévasterai ses vignes et ses figuiers dont elle disait : " C'est le salaire que m'ont donné mes amants ; " et je les réduirai en forêts, et les bêtes sauvages les dévoreront.

“Therefore, behold, I will allure her and lead her to the wilderness, and speak to her tenderly.

2:15

Je la punirai pour les jours des Baals ; auxquels elle offrait de l'encens ; alors qu'elle se parait de son anneau et de son collier et allait après ses amants ; et moi, elle m'oubliait, — oracle de Yahweh.

There I will give back her vineyards and make the Valley into a gateway of hope. There she will respond as she did in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt.

2:16

C'est pourquoi, voici que moi je l'attirerai, et la conduirai au désert, et je lui parlerai au cœur ;

In that day,” declares the LORD, “you will call Me ‘,’ and no longer call Me ‘.’

2:17

et de là je lui donnerai ses vignes, et la vallée d'Achor comme une porte d'espérance ; et elle répondra là comme aux jours de sa jeunesse, et comme au jour où elle monta hors du pays d'Egypte.

For I will remove from her lips the names of the Baals; no longer will their names be invoked.

2:18

En ce jour-là, — oracle de Yahweh, tu m'appelleras : " Mon mari ", et tu ne m'appelleras plus : " Mon Baal ".

On that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the creatures that crawl on the ground. And I will abolish bow and sword and battle in the land, and will make them lie down in safety.

2:19

J'ôterai de sa bouche les noms des Baals, et ils ne seront plus mentionnés par leur nom.

So I will betroth you to Me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, and compassion.

2:20

Je ferai pour eux un pacte, en ce jour, avec les bêtes sauvages, avec les oiseaux du ciel, et les reptiles de la terre ; je ferai disparaître du pays l'arc, l'épée et la guerre, et je les ferai reposer en sécurité.

And I will betroth you in faithfulness, and you will know the LORD.”

2:21

Je te fiancerai à moi pour toujours ; je te fiancerai à moi dans la justice et le jugement, dans la grâce et la tendresse ;

“On that day I will respond—” declares the LORD—“I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth.

2:22

je te fiancerai à moi dans la fidélité, et tu connaîtras Yahweh.

And the earth will respond to the grain, to the new wine and oil, and they will respond .

2:23

Et il arrivera en ce jour, je répondrai, — oracle de Yahweh, je répondrai aux cieux, et eux répondront à la terre ;

And I will sow her as My own in the land, and I will have compassion on ‘No .’ I will say to those called ‘Not ,’ ‘You ,’ and they will say, ‘You are my God.’”

2:24

la terre répondra au froment, au vin nouveau et à l'huile, et eux répondront à Jezrahel.

J'ensemencerai pour moi Israël dans le pays, et je ferai miséricorde à Lô-Ruchama ; je dirai à Lô-Ammi : " Tu es mon peuple ! " et il dira : " Mon Dieu ! "
