διαθήκη γὰρ ἐπὶ νεκροῖς βεβαία, ἐπεὶ μήποτε ἰσχύει ὅτε ζῇ ὁ διαθέμενος.
because a will does not take effect until the one who made it has died; it cannot be executed while he is still alive.
