ὃν γὰρ ἀγαπᾷ ˚Κύριος, παιδεύει, μαστιγοῖ δὲ πάντα υἱὸν ὃν παραδέχεται.”
For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives (note: Literally and He flogs every son He receives; Proverbs 3:11–12 (see also LXX)).”
