Καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ κατακλυσμὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσεράκοντα νύκτας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς· καὶ ἐπληθύνθη τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἐπῆρεν τὴν κιβωτόν, καὶ ὑψώθη ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.
For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and the waters rose and lifted the ark high above the earth.
