And the LORD said: ‘My spirit shall not abide in man for ever, for that he also is flesh; therefore shall his days be a hundred and twenty years.’
So the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with man forever (note: LXX and Syriac My Spirit will not remain in man forever), for he is mortal; his days shall be 120 years.”
