Genesis 32:30

Brenton's English Septuagint · Berean Standard Bible

And Jacob asked and said, Tell me thy name; and he said, Wherefore dost thou ask after my name? and he blessed him there.
So Jacob named the place Peniel (note: Peniel means the face of God.), saying, “Indeed, I have seen God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”
