And he said: ‘Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel (note: That is, He who striveth with God.); for thou hast striven with God and with men, and hast prevailed.’
And Jacob requested, “Please tell me your name.” But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed Jacob there.
