Dixitque Laban : Tumulus iste erit testis inter me et te hodie, et idcirco appellatum est nomen ejus Galaad, id est, Tumulus testis.
Then Laban declared, “This mound is a witness between you and me this day.” Therefore the place was called Galeed.
