Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband (note: Or, subject to thy husband), and he shall rule over thee.
To the woman He said: “I will sharply increase your pain in childbirth; in pain you will bring forth children. Your desire will be for your husband (note: Or You will desire to control your husband), and he will rule over you.”
