God said, “Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”
And God said, “Let there be an expanse (note: Or a canopy or a firmament or a vault; also in verses 7, 8, 14, 15, 17, and 20) between the waters, to separate the waters from the waters.”
