καὶ ἀπʼ ἐμοῦ, ἔγωγ᾿ Ἀρσαρθαθὰ βασιλεὺς ἔθηκα γνώμην πάσαις ταῖς γάζαις ταῖς ἐν πέρα τοῦ ποταμοῦ, ὅτι πᾶν ὃ ἂν αἰτήσῃ ὑμᾶς Ἔσρας ὁ ἱερεὺς γραμματεὺς τοῦ νόμου τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἑτοίμαως γινέσθω,
I, King Artaxerxes, decree to all the treasurers west of the Euphrates (note: Aramaic beyond the River; also in verse 25): Whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the God of heaven, may require of you, it must be provided promptly,
