ἵνα ἐπισκέψηται ἐν βιβλίῳ ὑπομνηματισμοῦ τῶν πατέρων σου, καὶ εὑρήσεις καὶ γνώσῃ ὅτι ἡ πόλις ἐκείνη πόλις ἀποστάτις, καὶ κακοποιοῦσα βασιλεῖς καὶ χώρας, καὶ φυγαδεῖα δούλων ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς ἀπὸ ἡμερῶν αἰῶνος· διὰ ταῦτα ἡ πόλις αὕτη ἠρημώθη.
