And the Tirshatha (note: That is, governor.) said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim. .
The governor ordered them not to eat the most holy things until there was a priest to consult the Urim and Thummim (note: Literally Lights and Perfections).
