Darum spricht der HErr also: Weil ihr's mehr macht denn die Heiden, so um euch her sind, und nach meinen Geboten nicht lebt und nach meinen Rechten nicht tut, sondern nach der Heiden Weise tut, die um euch her sind,
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘You have been more insubordinate than the nations around you; you have not walked in My statutes or kept My ordinances, nor have you even conformed (note: Some Hebrew manuscripts and Syriac My ordinances; you have even conformed) to the ordinances of the nations around you.’
