Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert (note: Or, plain), and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
And he said to me, “This water flows out to the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah. When it empties into the Dead Sea, the water there becomes fresh (note: Hebrew is healed; similarly in verses 9 and 11).
