ὤρυξαν δὲ πάντες οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι κύκλῳτοῦ ποταμοῦ πιεῖν ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τοῦ ποταμοῦ, καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο πιεῖν ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τοῦ ποταμοῦ·
So all the Egyptians dug around the Nile for water to drink, because they could not drink the water from the river.
