καὶ εἶπεν ῥῖψον αὐτὴν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ ἔρριψεν αὐτὴν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ ἐγένετο ὄφις καὶ ἔφυγεν Μωυσῆς ἀπ᾿ αὐτοῦ
“Throw it on the ground,” said the LORD. So Moses threw it on the ground, and it became a snake (note: Hebrew nachash, in contrast to Aaron’s staff, which became a tannin in Exodus 7:10), and he ran from it.
