וַיַּ֤רְא מֹשֶׁה֙ אֶת־ הָעָ֔ם כִּ֥י פָרֻ֖עַ ה֑וּא כִּֽי־ פְרָעֹ֣ה אַהֲרֹ֔ן לְשִׁמְצָ֖ה בְּקָמֵיהֶֽם׃
Moses saw that the people were out of control, for Aaron had let them run wild and become a laughingstock (note: Or and become an object of derision) to their enemies.
