Καὶ ταῦτά ἐστιν ἃ ποιήσεις αὐτοῖς· ἁγιάσεις αὐτοὺς ὥστε ἱερατεύειν μοι αὐτούς· λήμψῃ δὲ μοσχάριον ἐκ βοῶν ἓν καὶ κριοὺς δύο ἀμώμοὺς,
“Now this is what you are to do to consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve Me as priests: Take a young bull and two rams without blemish,
καὶ ἄρτους ἀζύμους πεφυραμένους ἐν ἐλαίῳ καὶ λάγανα ἐν ἐλαίῳ· σεμίδαλιν ἐκ πυρῶν ποιήσεις αὐτά.
along with unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil. Make them out of fine wheat flour,
καὶ ἐπιθήσεις αὐτὰ ἐπὶ κανοῦν ἕν· καὶ προσοίσεις αὐτὰ ἐπὶ τῷ κανῷ, καὶ τὸ μοσχάριον καὶ τοὺς δύο κριούς·
put them in a basket, and present them in the basket, along with the bull and the two rams.
καὶ Ἀαρὼν καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ προσάξεις ἐπὶ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ λούσεις αὐτοὺς ἐν ὕδατι.
Then present Aaron and his sons at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.
καὶ λαβὼν τὰς στολὰς ἐνδύσεις Ἀαρὼν τὸν ἀδελφόν σου, κα τὸν χιτῶνα τὸν ποδήρη καὶ τὴν ἐπωμίδα καὶ τὸ λήιον πρὸς τὴν ἐπωμίδα.
Take the garments and clothe Aaron with the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod itself, and the breastplate. Fasten the ephod on him with its woven waistband.
καὶ θήσεις τὴν μίτραν ἐπὶ τὴν κἠν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπιθήσεις τὸ πέταλον τὸ ἁγίασμα ἐπὶ τὴν μίτραν.
Put the turban on his head and attach the holy diadem to the turban.
καὶ λήμψῃ τοῦ ἐλαίου τοῦ χρίσματος, καὶ ἐπιχεεῖς αὐτὸ ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ, καὶ χρίσεις αὐτόν.
Then take the anointing oil and anoint him by pouring it on his head.
καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ προσάξεις, καὶ ἐνδύσεις αὐτοὺς χιτῶνας·
Present his sons as well and clothe them with tunics.
καὶ ζώσεις αὐτοὺς ταῖς ζώναις, καὶ περιθήσεις αὑτοῖς τὰς κιδάρεις· καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῖς ἱερατία μοι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα· καὶ τελειώσεις Ἀαρὼν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰς χεῖρας τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ,
Wrap the sashes around Aaron and his sons and tie headbands on them. The priesthood shall be theirs by a permanent statute. In this way you are to ordain Aaron and his sons.
καὶ προσάξεις τὸν μόσχον ἐπὶ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, κα ἐπιθήσουσιν Ἀαρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ τὰς χεῖρας ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν τοῦ μόσχου ἔωαντι κυρίου παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου·
You are to present the bull at the front of the Tent of Meeting, and Aaron and his sons are to lay their hands on its head.
καὶ σφάξεις τὸν μόσχον ἐναντίον Κυρίου παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου.
And you shall slaughter the bull before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
καὶ λήμψῃ ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ μόσχου, καὶ θήσεις ἐπὶ τῶν κεράτων τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τῷ δακτύλῳ σου· τὸ δὲ λοιπὸν πᾶν αἷμα ἐκχεεῖς , παρὰ τὴν βάσιν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου.
Take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger; then pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
καὶ λήμψῃ πᾶν τὸ στέαρ τὸ ἐπὶ τῆς κοιλίας καὶ τὸν λοβὸν τοῦ ἥπατος καὶ τοὺς δύο νεφροὺς κα τὸ στέαρ τὸ ἐπ’ αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐπιθήσεις ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον.
Take all the fat that covers the entrails and the lobe of the liver, and both kidneys with the fat on them, and burn them on the altar.
τὰ ’δε κρέα τοῦ μόσχου καὶ τὸ δέρμα καὶ τὴν κόπρον κατακαύσεις πυρὶ ἵξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς· ἁμαρτίας γάρ ἐστιν.
But burn the flesh of the bull and its hide and dung outside the camp; it is a sin offering (note: Or purification offering; also in verse 36).
καὶ τὸν κριὸν λήμψῃ τὸν ἕνα, καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν Ἀαρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν τοῦ κριοῦ·
Take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.
καὶ σφάξεις αὐτόν, καὶ λαβὼν τὸ αἷμα προσχεεῖς πρὸς τὸ θυσιαστήριον κύκλῳ.
You are to slaughter the ram, take its blood, and splatter it on all sides of the altar.
καὶ τὸν κριὸν διχοτομήσεις κατὰ μέλη, καὶ πλυνεῖς τὰ ἐνδόσθια καὶ τοὺς πόδας ὕδατι, καὶ ἐπιθήσεις τὰ διχοτομήματα σὺν τῇ κεφαλῇ.
Cut the ram into pieces, wash the entrails and legs, and place them with its head and other pieces.
καὶ ἀνοίσεις ὅλον τὸν κριὸν ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον, ὁλοκαύτωμα κυρίῳ εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας· θυμίαμα κυρίῳ ἔ.
Then burn the entire ram on the altar; it is a burnt offering to the LORD, a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.
καὶ λήμψῃ τὸν κριὸν τὸν δεύτερον, καὶ ἐπιθήσει Ἀαρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν τοῦ κριοῦ·
Take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons are to lay their hands on its head.
καὶ σφάξεις αὐτόν, καὶ λήμψῃ τοῦ αἵματος αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπιθήσεις ἐπὶ τὸν λοβὸν τοῦ ὠτὸς Ἀαρὼν τοῦ δεξιοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ ἄκρον τῆς δεξιᾶς χειρὸς καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ ἄκρον τοῦ ποδὸς τοῦ δεξιοῦ καὶ ἐπί τοὺς λοβοὺς τῶν ὤτων τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ τῶν δεξιῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τά ἄκρα τῶν χειρῶν αὐτῶν τῶν δεξιῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ἄκρα τῶν ποδῶν αὐτῶν τῶν δεξιῶν.
Slaughter the ram, take some of its blood, and put it on the right earlobes of Aaron and his sons, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Splatter the remaining blood on all sides of the altar.
καὶ λήμψῃ ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἐλαίου τῆς χρίσεως, καὶ ῥανεῖς ἐπὶ Ἀαρὼν καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν στολὴν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς στολὰς τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἁγιασθήσεται αὐτὸς καὶ ἢ στολὴ αὐτοῦ, καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ αἱ στολαὶ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ· τὸ ’δε αἷμα τού κριοῦ προσχεεῖς πρὸς τὸ θυσιαστήριον κύκλῳ.
And take some of the blood on the altar and some of the anointing oil and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments, as well as on his sons and their garments. Then he and his garments will be consecrated, as well as his sons and their garments.
καὶ λήμψῃ ἀπὸ τοῦ κριοῦ τὸ στέαρ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ στέαρ τὸ κατακαλύπτον τὴν κοιλίαν, καὶ τὸν λοβὸν τοῦ ἥπατος καὶ τοὺς δύο νεφροὺς καὶ τὸ στέαρ τὸ ἐπ’ αὐτῶν, καὶ τὸν βραχίονα τὸν δεξιόν· ἔστιν γὰρ τελείωσις αὕτη·
Take the fat from the ram, the fat tail, the fat covering the entrails, the lobe of the liver, both kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh (since this is a ram for ordination),
καὶ ἄρτον ἕνα ἐξ ἐλαίου, καὶ λάγανον ἱν ἀπὸ τοῦ κανοῦ τῶν ἀζύμων τῶν προτεθειμένων ἔναντι Τυρίου·
along with one loaf of bread, one cake of bread made with oil, and one wafer from the basket of unleavened bread that is before the LORD.
καὶ ἐπιθήσεις τὰ πάντα ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖραι Ἀαρὼν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἀφοριεῖς αὐτοῖς ἀφόρισμα ἔναντι Κυρίου.
Put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and wave them before the LORD as a wave offering.
καὶ λήμψῃ αὐτὰ ἐκ τῶν χειρῶν αὐτῶν, καὶ ἀνοίσεις ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τῆς ὁλοκαυτώσεως εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας ἔναντι κυρίου· κάρπωμά ἐστιν κυρίῳ.
Then take them from their hands and burn them on the altar atop the burnt offering as a pleasing aroma before the LORD; it is a food offering to the LORD.
καὶ λήμψῃ τὸ στηθύνιον ἀπὸ τοῦ κριοῦ τῆς τελειώσεως, ὅ ἐστιν Ἀαρών, καὶ ἀφοριεῖς αὐτὸ ἀφόρισμα ἔναντι κυρίου, καὶ ἔσται σοι ἐν μερίδι.
Take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s ordination and wave it before the LORD as a wave offering, and it will be your portion.
καὶ ἁγιάσεις τὸ στηθύνιον ἀφόρισμα καὶ τὸν βραχίονα τοῦ ἀφαιρέματος, ὃς ἀφώρισται καὶ ὃς ἀφᾐρηται ἀπὸ τοῦ κριοῦ τῆς τελειώσεως ἀπὸ τοῦ Ἀαρὼν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ.
Consecrate for Aaron and his sons the breast of the wave offering that is waved and the thigh of the heave offering that is lifted up from the ram of ordination.
καὶ ἔσται Ἀαρὼν καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ νόμιμον αἰώνιον παρὰ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ· ἔστιν γὰρ ἀφόρισμα τοῦτο, καὶ ἀφαίρεμα ἔσται ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἀπὸ τῶν θυμάτων τῶν σωτηρίων τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ, ἀφαίρεμα κυρίῳ.
This will belong to Aaron and his sons as a regular portion from the Israelites, for it is the heave offering the Israelites will make to the LORD from their peace offerings.
καὶ ἡ στολὴ τοῦ ἁγίου ἤ ἐστιν Ἀαρὼν ἔσται τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτόν, χρισθῆναι αὐτοὺς ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ τελειῶσαι τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν·
The holy garments that belong to Aaron will belong to his sons after him, so they can be anointed and ordained in them.
ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ἐνδύσεται αὐτὰ ὁ ἱερεὺς ὁ ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ, ὃς εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου λειτουργεῖν ἐν τοῖς ἁγίοις.
The son who succeeds him as priest and enters the Tent of Meeting to minister in the Holy Place must wear them for seven days.
καὶ τὸν κριὸν τῆς τελειώσεως λήμψῃ καὶ ἑψήσεις τὰ κρέα ἐν τόπῳ ἁγίῳ·
You are to take the ram of ordination and boil its flesh in a holy place.
καὶ ἔδονται Ἀαρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ τὰ κρέα τοῦ κριοῦ καὶ τοὺς ἄρτους τοὺς ἐν τῷ κανῷ παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου·
At the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, Aaron and his sons are to eat the meat of the ram and the bread that is in the basket.
ἔδονται αὐτὰ ἐν οἷς ἡγιάσθησαν ἐν αὐτοῖς, τελειῶσαι τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν, ἁγιάσαι αὐτούς· καὶ ἀλλογενὴς οὐκ ἔδεται ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ, ἔστιν γὰρ ἅγια.
They must eat those things by which atonement was made for their ordination and consecration. But no outsider may eat them, because these things are sacred.
νέαν δὲ καταλειφθῇ ἀπὸ τῶν κρεῶν τῆς θυσίας τῆς τελειώσεως καὶ τῶν ἄρτων ἕως πρωί, κατακαύσεις τὰ λοιπὰ πυρί· οὐ βρωθήσεται, ἁγίασμα γάρ ἐστιν.
And if any of the meat of ordination or any bread is left until the morning, you are to burn up the remainder. It must not be eaten, because it is sacred.
καὶ ποιήσεις Ἀαρὼν καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ οὕτως κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐνετειλάμην σοι · ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας τελειώσεις αὐτῶν τὰς χεῖρας.
This is what you are to do for Aaron and his sons based on all that I have commanded you, taking seven days to ordain them.
καὶ τὸ μοσχάριον τῆς ἁμαρτίας ποιήσεις τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ καθαρισμοῦ· καὶ καθαριεῖς τὸ θυσιαατήριον ἐν τῷ ἁγιάζειν σε ἐπ' αὐτῷ, καὶ χρίσεις αὐτὸ ὥστε ἁγιάσαι αὐτό.
Sacrifice a bull as a sin offering each day for atonement. Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it.
ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας καθαριεῖς τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ ἁγιάσεις αὐτό, καὶ ἔσται τὸ θυσιαστήριον ἅγιον τοῦ ἁγίου· πᾶς ὁ ἁπτόμενος τοῦ ἁγιασθήεται. ἁγιασθήσεται.
For seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar will become most holy; whatever touches the altar will be holy.
Καὶ ταῦτά ἐστιν ἃ ποιήσεις ἐπὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου· ἀμνοὺς ἐνιαυσίους ἀμώμους δύο τὴν ἡμέραν ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον ἐνδελεχῶς, κάρπωμα ἐνδελεχισμοῦ·
This is what you are to offer regularly on the altar, each day: two lambs that are a year old.
τὸν ἀμνὸν τὸν ἕνα ποιήσεις τὸ πρωί, καὶ τὸν ἀμνὸν τὸν δεύτερον ποιήσεις τὸ δειλινόν·
Offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight (note: Hebrew between the two evenings; also in verse 41).
καὶ δέκατον σεμιδάλεως πεφυραμένης ἐν ἐλαίῳ κεκομμένῳ, τῷ τετάρτῳ τοῦ εἵν, καὶ σπονδὴν τὸ τέταρτον τοῦ εἳν οἴνου τῷ ἀμνῷ τῷ ἑνί·
With the first lamb offer a tenth of an ephah of fine flour (note: A tenth of an ephah is approximately 2 dry quarts or 2.2 liters (probably about 2.6 pounds or 1.2 kilograms of flour).), mixed with a quarter hin of oil from pressed olives, and a drink offering of a quarter hin of wine.
καὶ τὸν ἀμνὸν τὸν δεύτερον ποιήσεις τὸ δειλινόν· κατὰ τὴν θυσίαν τὴν πρωινὴν καὶ κατὰ τὴν σπονδὴν αὐτοῦ ποιήσεις ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας κάρπωμα κυρίῳ,
And offer the second lamb at twilight with the same grain offering and drink offering as in the morning, as a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.
θυσίαν ἐνδελεχισμοῦ εἰς γενεὰς ὑμῶν, ἐπὶ θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἔναντι Τυρίου, ἐν γνωσθήσομαί σοι ἐκεῖθεν ὥστε λαλῆσαί σοι.
For the generations to come, this burnt offering shall be made regularly at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the LORD, where I will meet you to speak with you.
καὶ τάξομαι ἐκεῖ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἁγιασθήσομαι ἐν δόξῃ μου·
I will also meet with the Israelites there, and that place will be consecrated by My glory.
καὶ ἁγιάσω τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον, καὶ Ἀαρὼν καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ ἁγιάσω ἱερατεύειν μοι·
So I will consecrate the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and I will consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve Me as priests.
καὶ ἐπικληθήσομαι ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἔσομαι αὐτῶν θεός. καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτῶν ὁ ἐξαγαγὼν αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου, ἐπικληθῆαι αὐτοῖς κα θε ὃς εἶναι αὐτῶν.
Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.
