ὅδε ἐγὼ ἕστηκα ἐκεῖ πρὸ τοῦ σὲ ἐπὶ τῆς πέτρας ἐν Χωρήβ. καὶ πατάξεις τὴν πέτραν, καὶ ἐξελεύσεται ἐξ αὐτῆς ὕδωρ, καὶ πίεται ὁ λαός μου. ἐποίησεν δὲ Μωυσῆς οὕτως ἐναντίον τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ.
Behold, I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb (note: Horeb is another name for Sinai.). And when you strike the rock, water will come out of it for the people to drink.” So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.
