Siehe, ich will daselbst stehen vor dir auf einem Fels am Horeb; da sollst du den Fels schlagen, so wird Wasser herauslaufen, dass das Volk trinke. Mose tat also vor den Ältesten von Israel.
Behold, I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb (note: Horeb is another name for Sinai.). And when you strike the rock, water will come out of it for the people to drink.” So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.
