For Mordecai exercised great power in the palace, and his fame spread throughout the provinces as he became more and more powerful.
כִּֽי־ גָ֤דוֹל מָרְדֳּכַי֙ בְּבֵ֣ית הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְשָׁמְע֖וֹ הוֹלֵ֣ךְ בְּכָל־ הַמְּדִינ֑וֹת כִּֽי־ הָאִ֥ישׁ מָרְדֳּכַ֖י הוֹלֵ֥ךְ וְגָדֽוֹל׃פ
