Dans chaque province, partout où arrivaient l’ordre du roi et son édit, il y eut une grande désolation parmi les Juifs; ils jeûnaient, pleuraient et se lamentaient, et beaucoup se couchaient sur le sac et la cendre.
In every province to which the king’s command and edict came, there was great mourning among the Jews. They fasted, wept, and lamented, and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.
