ἐγὼ Δανιὴλ συνῆκα ἐν ταῖς βύβλοις τὸν ἀριθμὸν τῶν ἐτῶν, ὃς ἐγενήθη λόγος Κυρίου πρὸς Ἰερεμίαν τὸν προφήτην εἰς συνπλήρωσιν ἐρημώσεως Ἰερουσαλήμ, ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη.
in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the sacred books, according to the word of the LORD to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years (note: See Jeremiah 25:11–12 and Jeremiah 29:10.).
