Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again (note: Heb. shall return and be built), and the wall (note: Or, breach or ditch), even in troublous times (note: Heb. in strait of times).
Know and understand this: From the issuance of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Messiah (note: Or the Anointed One; also in verse 26), the Prince, there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of distress.
