Therefore because the king’s commandment (note: Cald. word) was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame (note: Or, spark) of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego.
The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the fiery flames killed the men who carried up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
