Ἐν Ἰόππῃ δέ τις ἦν μαθήτρια ὀνόματι Ταβηθά, ἣ διερμηνευομένη λέγεται Δορκάς· αὕτη ἦν πλήρης ἀγαθῶν ἔργων καὶ ἐλεημοσυνῶν ὧν ἐποίει.
In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which is translated as Dorcas (note: Tabitha in Aramaic and Dorcas in Greek both mean gazelle.)), who was always occupied with works of kindness and charity.
