ᾧ οὐκ ἠθέλησαν ὑπήκοοι γενέσθαι οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν, ἀλλ’ ἀπώσαντο, καὶ ἐστράφησαν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτῶν εἰς Αἴγυπτον,
But our fathers refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt.
