ἦλθε δὲ λιμὸς ἐφ᾽ ὅλην τὴν γῆν Αἰγύπτου καὶ Χαναὰν καὶ θλῖψις μεγάλη, καὶ οὐχ εὕρισκον χορτάσματα οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν.
Then famine and great suffering swept across Egypt and Canaan, and our fathers could not find food.
