Denn er gedachte, wider die von Tyrus und Sidon zu kriegen. Sie aber kamen einmütig zu ihm und überredeten des Königs Kämmerer, Blastus, und baten um Frieden, darum dass ihre Lande sich nähren mussten von des Königs Land.
Now Herod was in a furious dispute (note: Or had become furious) with the people of Tyre and Sidon, and they convened before him. Having secured the support of Blastus, the king’s chamberlain, they asked for peace, because their region depended on the king’s country for food.
