Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate (note: Or, of no judgment) concerning the faith.
Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses (note: See Jasher 79:27. The Book of Jashar or the Book of the Upright One is often cited as Jasher.), so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind and disqualified from the faith.
