Καὶ ἐένετο μετὰ ταῦτα καὶ ἐπάταξεν Δαυεὶδ τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους καὶ ἐτροπώσατο αὐτούς· καὶ ἔλαβεν Δαυεὶδ τὴν ἀφωισμένην ἐκ χειρὸς τῶν ἀλλοφύλων.
Some time later, David defeated the Philistines, subdued them, and took Metheg-ammah (note: Metheg-ammah means bridle of the mother city.) from the hand of the Philistines.
