And David arose, and went, he and all the people that were with him, and some of the rulers of Juda, on an expedition [to a distant place], to bring back thence the ark of God, on which the name of the Lord of Hosts who dwells between the cherubs upon it is called.
And he and all his troops set out for Baale of Judah (note: That is, Kiriath-jearim; see 1 Chronicles 13:6.) to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name (note: Hebrew; LXX and Vulgate do not include the Name—)—the name of the LORD of Hosts, who is enthroned between the cherubim that are on it.
