Da sprach David desselben Tages: Wer die Jebusiter schlägt und erlangt die Dachrinnen, die Lahmen und die Blinden, denen die Seele Davids feind ist...! Daher spricht man: Lass keinen Blinden und Lahmen ins Haus kommen.
On that day he said, “Whoever attacks the Jebusites must use the water shaft to reach the lame and blind who are despised by David (note: Or who are enemies of David).” That is why it is said, “The blind and the lame will never enter the palace.”
