καὶ ἦλθεν Δαυεὶδ ἐκ τῶν ἐπάνω διακοπῶν ἔκοψεν τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους ἐκεῖ, καὶ εἶπεν Δαυείδ Διέκοψεν Κύριος τοὺς ἐχθροὺς ἀλλοφύλους ἐνώπιον ἐμοῦ ὡς διακόπτεται ὕδατα· διὰ τοῦτο ἐκλήθη τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ τόπου ἐκείνου Ἐπάνω διακοπῶν.
So David went to Baal-perazim (note: Baal-perazim means The Lord Bursts Out.), where he defeated the Philistines and said, “Like a bursting flood, the LORD has burst out against my enemies before me.” So he called that place Baal-perazim.
