Gad vint vers David et lui fit connaître la parole de Yahweh, et lui dit : « Une famine de sept années viendra-t-elle dans ton pays, ou bien fuiras-tu trois mois devant tes ennemis qui te poursuivront, ou bien y aura-t-il une peste de trois jours dans ton pays ? Maintenant, sache et vois ce que je dois répondre à celui qui m'envoie. »
So Gad went and said to David, “Do you choose to endure three (note: LXX (see also 1 Chronicles 21:12); Hebrew seven) years of famine in your land, three months of fleeing the pursuit of your enemies, or three days of plague upon your land? Now then, think it over and decide how I should reply to Him who sent me.”
