Quand Achitophel vit que son conseil n'était pas suivi, il sella son âne, et se leva pour s'en aller chez lui dans sa ville ; puis, après avoir donné ses ordres à sa maison, il s'étrangla, et mourut ; et on l'enterra dans le tombeau de son père.
When Ahithophel saw that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey and set out for his house in his hometown. He put his affairs in order and hanged himself. So he died and was buried in his father’s tomb.
