καὶ ἔφυγεν Συρία ἀπὸ προςώπου Ἰσραήλ· καὶ ἀνεῖλεν Δαυεὶδ ἐκ τῆς Συρίας ἑπτακόσια ἅρματα καὶ τεσσεράκοντα χιλιάδας ἱππέων· καὶ Σωβὰκ τὸν ἄρχοντα τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ ἐπάταξεν, καὶ ἀπέθανεν ἐκεῖ.
But the Arameans fled before Israel, and David killed seven hundred charioteers and forty thousand foot soldiers (note: Some LXX manuscripts (see also 1 Chronicles 19:18); Hebrew horsemen). He also struck down Shobach the commander of their army, who died there.
