Denn so sie entflohen sind dem Unflat der Welt durch die Erkenntnis des Herrn und Heilandes Jesu Christi, werden aber wiederum in denselben verflochten und überwunden, ist mit ihnen das Letzte ärger geworden denn das Erste.
If indeed they have escaped the corruption of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (note: SBL and WH the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ), only to be entangled and overcome by it again, their final condition is worse than it was at first.
