καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν βασιλεὺς ἰατρευθῆναι ἐν Ἰσραὴλ ἀπὸ τῶν πληγῶν ὦν ἔπαισαν οἱ Σύροι ἐν τῷ πολεμεῖν αὐτοὺς μετὰ Ἁζαὴλ βασιλέως Συρίας. εἶπεν Εἰού Εἰ ἔστιν ἡ ψυχὴ ὑμῶν μετ’ ἐμοῦ, μὴ ἐξελθέτω ἐ πόλεως διαπεφευγὼς τοῦ πορευθῆναι καὶ ἀπαγγεῖλαι ἐν ’
but King Joram (note: Or Jehoram, a variant of Joram; also in verses 17, 21, 22, 23, and 24) had returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds he had suffered at the hands of the Arameans in the battle against Hazael their king.) So Jehu said, “If you commanders wish to make me king, then do not let anyone escape from the city to go and tell it in Jezreel.”
