2 Kings 7:9

King James Version (1769 Blayney revision, with Apocrypha) · Berean Standard Bible

7:9
Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us (note: Heb. we shall find punishment): now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.
Finally, they said to one another, “We are not doing what is right. Today is a day of good news. If we are silent and wait until morning light, our sin will overtake us. Now, therefore, let us go and tell the king’s household.”
