In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam’s reign over Israel, Azariah (note: Azariah is also called Uzziah; also in verses 6, 7, 8, 17, 23, and 27; see 2 Chronicles 26:1.) son of Amaziah became king of Judah.
בִּשְׁנַ֨ת עֶשְׂרִ֤ים וָשֶׁ֙בַע֙ שָׁנָ֔ה לְיָרָבְעָ֖ם מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מָלַ֛ךְ עֲזַרְיָ֥ה בֶן־ אֲמַצְיָ֖ה מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃
