Sellum filius Jabes regnavit trigesimo novo anno Azariæ regis Juda : regnavit autem uno mense in Samaria.
In the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah’s (note: Uzziah is also called Azariah; also in verses 32 and 34; see verse 1.) reign over Judah, Shallum son of Jabesh became king, and he reigned in Samaria one full month.
