Josachar namque filius Semaath, et Jozabad filius Somer servi ejus, percusserunt eum, et mortuus est : et sepelierunt eum cum patribus suis in civitate David : regnavitque Amasias filius ejus pro eo.
His servants Jozabad (note: Hebrew; LXX and Syriac Jozacar) son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer (note: Shomer is a variant of Shimrith; see 2 Chronicles 24:26.) struck him down, and he died. And they buried him with his fathers in the City of David, and his son Amaziah reigned in his place.
