From Jordan eastward (note: Heb. toward the rising of the sun), all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan (note: Or, even to Gilead and Bashan).
