Ingressi sunt igitur ut facerent victimas et holocausta : Jehu autem præparaverat sibi foris octoginta viros, et dixerat eis : Quicumque fugerit de hominibus his, quos ego adduxero in manus vestras, anima ejus erit pro anima illius.
And they went in (note: LXX he went in; see also verse 25.) to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had stationed eighty men outside and warned them, “If anyone allows one of the men I am delivering into your hands to escape, he will forfeit his life for theirs.”
