so freue ich mich doch nun, nicht darüber, dass ihr seid betrübt worden, sondern dass ihr betrübt seid worden zur Reue. Denn ihr seid göttlich betrübt worden, dass ihr von uns ja keinen Schaden irgendworin nehmet.
yet now I rejoice, not because you were made sorrowful, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you felt the sorrow that God had intended, and so were not harmed in any way by us.
